The Garden, which was designed in the early twentieth century, encourages people to interact with nature in a tranquil and serene atmosphere.

The experience of visiting Greenwood Gardens is like taking a trip back in time 100 years, where you will see formal terraced gardens, Arts and Crafts follies, grand fountains, secret grottoes, enchanting forests, and meandering pathways. The turkeys and geese will be happy to see you, and you may take in the sights and sounds of nature at its finest while relaxing on a comfy seat. We hope that your stay at Greenwood will be filled with a feeling of renewal in all of your senses.

Greenwood has undergone substantial restoration and preservation, and we are happy to be able to provide a one-of-a-kind chance to interact with nature in a historic garden setting. Follow the norms of garden etiquette to assist in maintaining the gardens.

They are closed for the season and will re-open on May 1, 2022, when the weather permits. Advance registration is highly encouraged to maximize the pleasure of all guests and guarantee that they have a wonderful experience while at Greenwood. The only way to get into the Garden is via vehicle. There is no charge for parking. Garden Guides and Maps will be available at the Ticket Kiosk for those who choose to explore the gardens independently.

To properly appreciate the Greenwood Gardens, you need to know a few things beforehand:

• They advise all registrants to come 30 minutes before their time slot. The Garden shuts at 5:00 p.m. Your registration is valid until 3:30 p.m. if your circumstances change.

• Visitors arrive by automobile and go through the gate, pausing at the ticket booth to display a paper copy of their advance registration or introduce themselves to the ticket attendant.

• You will be given a Garden Guide, a self-guided walking tour leaflet with a map and garden etiquette. You may also download the Guide here.

• As soon as you have checked in, you will be directed to one of their parking facilities.

• Walking shoes and weather-appropriate attire are advised.

• All guests may use the renovated Main Terrace with partial garden views. The rest of Greenwood’s historic environment is neither wheelchair nor stroller accessible. The stairwells and uneven ground might be tricky.

• Please apply insect repellent and inspect yourself for ticks after leaving New Jersey to help prevent tick bites.
